Expedition Africa is close to home.
Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 8:58PM A friend of ours, Kevin Estela (left in the picture) served as a consultant and survival expert for the television production of Expedition Africa that's currently on the History Channel. He's a survival instructor for the Wilderness Learning Center in Chateaugay, New York. It's a great show full of good information, lots of history, and tips and tricks to use out in the field. From what I have seen so far, this is the most realistic survival type show that I have seen on TV. It's not a docu-drama or a popularity contest. It's a group of folks hitting some of the harshest terrain on the planet in an attempt to relive history in that region. If you like outdoors topics and would like to learn about various survival techniques for the outdoors, then this show just might be for you!
